About Sherwood Boarding Kennels
Sherwood Boarding Kennels was established by Pete and Gerri Scott in late 2013 after they had four years prior experience at another boarding facility. Since buying the property Pete and Gerri built a spacious kennel block taking the total number of kennels to 38, they also added extra grassed exercise/play yards for your pet’s enjoyment, renovated the office and kitchen areas and replaced fencing to make all areas safe & secure for your pets.
The kennels are fully registered and certified annually by Murray Shire.
In late 2024, after an extensive training and handover period, Pete and Gerri sold the kennels to Sean and Christie.
Sean comes to Sherwood following a forty year career as a Plumber and Gasfitter both here and in the United Kingdom. An avid dog lover, his Facebook feed (Mr Happy Plumbing and Gas) is filled with images of him with his customers' dogs, so it's not surprising to see him move to a venture that sees him working with dogs everyday.
Christie comes to Sherwood following an extensive career as a high school teacher and deputy principal arguing that she prefers dogs to teenagers these days. Her dog, Henry the Australian Shepherd, is the apple of her eye and she loves that she now gets to spend most mornings and afternoons with him in the office.
The food supplied is a good quality food, we use Royal Canin or Black Hawk
biscuits & Prime 100 chicken & veg dog roll. We also stock raw kangaroo
& chicken mince, chicken frames/necks/wings.
The cost of the food is included in the boarding fees.
If your pet is on a specialised diet or suffers with food allergies or sensitivities,
you are very welcome to supply you own food.
We have appropriate storage space.
Christie is very happy to dispense any medication should your pet need
them during their stay.
